Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Within the Sustainable Transport Solutions effort, the Autonomous Systems Development section (EAD) leads the work on developing Scania’s on-board software stack for autonomous driving within industrial confined areas. We have a great challenge ahead of us and our department as a whole is an important part of Scania’s shift towards sustainable transport solutions! 

Assignment

We are looking for our next safety manager. Your main goal is to help the organization to build a safety case in this new challenging area. You will be part of the Product Management team, responsible for inspiring, supporting and teaching the value stream teams to work with safety.

We are in the forefront of bringing a completely new product to the market, which is both demanding and exciting. This means that our focus is on working truly agile depending on the needs of our product development.

Your profile

You have a couple of years of experience as safety manager, preferably with experience from similar questions and challenges. You are comfortable with taking lead in the safety work and enjoy involving your colleagues in your work. Since this is a new challenging area, you are not shy to paving the way forward.

You probably have a master’s degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent giving you an insite to software development. Experience from working with a complex product is meritorious. Communication is important which is why good knowledge of English is required.
