JOB DESCRIPTION

The Sales representative, reporting to the relevant Sales Manager, is fully responsible for the sales activities of the BRANCH over the territory, sharing sales and marketing strategies, planning and organizing all activities and actions needed to implement them.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

* Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business
* Promotes/sells/secures orders from prospective and existing customers through a relationship-based approach.
* Demonstrates products and services to potential/existing customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs.

DETAILS OF FUNCTION

* Analyzes the territory/market’s potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers
* Plan approaches and pitches
* Build relationships with new clients
* Makes telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations on solutions/products/services/offers to prospective and existing customers.
* Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with prospective customers and current customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organization’s products/services.

* Researches sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential.
* Supports Engineering team in developing clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
* Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer visits detailing their needs, problems, interests, and potential for new products and services.
* Keeps abreast of product applications, market conditions, competitive activities, through regular updates and the reading of pertinent literature.
* Participates in trade shows and conventions.

* Takes an active role in negotiations and in closing deals.
* Coordinates sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, and technical service groups, within the branch or with the Headquarter.

 SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

* At least 5 years experience from a simular position
* Client oriented, responsive and persistent
* Professional demeanour, selling style, and appearance
* Opportunity qualification, pre-visit planning, call control, account development, and time and territory management.
* aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach)
* Ability to work individually and as part of a team
* Presentation and Communication Skills
* Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
* Fluent English speaking. It's an advantage if you speak any of the Nordic languages.

 WORKING CONDITIONS

* Frequent travel is required, often up to several hours of driving per day.
* Ability to travel to, attend, and conduct presentations.
