SAP Consultant-BI

Job Descriptipn
Successful candidates will have demonstrated an ability to support, design and develop the SAP BI (Business Intelligence) application with an appreciation and understanding of the underlying business data in SAP ERP. Ideally candidates should have 7+ years of solid SAP BI experience in a support and / or consulting environment ideally with experience of at least 1 full lifecycle project implementation. Cross module knowledge and integration experience an advantage.

The successful candidate must be a pro-active professional and self directed individual with the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Must have the ability to prioritise tasks and have excellent client facing skills. Diverse implementation & support experience is a distinct advantage.

Key Responsibilities and Activities:

Client-facing support and delivery responsibility for SAP BI.
Work on own initiative or part of a wider project team.
Full ?Build to Run? solution delivery to our client base including requirement analysis, design, build, test, data migration, cut-over and support.
Provide tactical / operational SAP BI consulting & advice to our client base.
Contribute to maintenance and dissemination of industry and client knowledge, and share information within the Irish business.

Essential/desirable qualifications, experience, knowledge:

The role demands excellent interpersonal skills combined with a strong technical background, which will enable the individual to be comfortable in delivering SAP BI solutions. Experience is following areas is essential.

SAP BI implementation & support experience with following components:
o BEX Analyzer
o Query Designer
o Web Application Designer (WAD)
o Visual Composer
o Information Broadcaster
o InfoCubes, InfoSources, InfoObjects
o ODS (Operational Data Store) / DSO (DataStore Objects)
o Data Extraction, Data Sources
o Data Loading (DTS),ABAP.
o Data Modelling (InfoSets & MutliProviders).

Ideally minimum of 1 full life cycle implementation & support
BI Design & Implementation skills are essential
Knowledge of other SAP modules an advantage
SAP Certification is desirable
SAP BI Version 7.0 upwards
Requirement Analysis and Definition
Knowledge of project delivery / system implementation methodologies
Documentation skills a necessity
