Interested in an administrative scientific role at ECDC focused on Vaccine Preventable Diseases? We are currently looking for an interim requested to perform various tasks in the expert group focusing on Vaccine Preventable Diseases at Expert to the European Centre for Disease Prevention (ECDC).

Work duties

The interim shall be requested to perform various tasks in the expert group focusing on Vaccine Preventable Diseases including:                                                                                                        
Task 1: contribute to the collection, validation, analysis, interpretation and dissemination on data of VPD

Task 2: Contribute to supporting projects in the area of VPD, with particular emphasis to projects aimed at assessing the impact of vaccine preventable diseases;

Task 3: Contribute to produce outputs in the form of ECDC scientific reports, ECDC web content, presentations etc.;

Task 4: Contribute to liaise with national and international bodies involved in the surveillance of VPDs;

Task 5: Work closely and constructively with the ECDC VPD surveillance team, the head of the VPD programme, database developers and data managers.Competences and experience

In addition to the profile specification, these specific competences and experience are required for the assignment:

-      Experience in vaccine preventable diseases, technical reports on VPD issues (such as expert opinions, systematic reviews and/or guidance documents)
-      Experience in data analysis and interpretation;  
-      Experience and/or education in public health
-      Team working ability is crucial
-     Excellent communication skills in English needed (written and spoken

Job type: Full time. Candidate need to be available for work from 1st of February, and the temporary assignment are planned to end in May 2017, but with possible extension up to a total length of 12 month.
