Scientist

We are now looking for a Scientist within the field of surface chemistry/polymer chemistry and organic chemistry. You will, as part of R&D, contribute to the development of disruptive products which are used in the purification of biologics. Your work will span all the way from idea generation to research and development keeping in mind the current requirements of a manufacturing process.
This position has a strong focus on synthesis work in lab scale and hence the person suited for this role should enjoy working in a chemistry laboratory setting.


Job Description
Development of new platforms for separation of biomolecules
Perform experimental work within the area of surface /organic chemistry and primary characterisation
Good knowledge of green chemistry
Have a good understanding of EHS requirements
Independently plan and accomplish given tasks from Project Manager or Section Manager, to reach given project objectives
Independently solve problems of "trouble shooting character" in project work
Document and report results both orally and in a written form
Conduct all tasks within the framework of Cytiva policies and guidelines



Qualifications
PhD in organic chemistry or equal experience in related fields
5-10 years experience of laboratory work
Experience of working with parallel chemistry
