Job description
Acreo is looking for a motivated scientist with documented experience within one of the following fields and knowledge of the remaining two fields:

.Optical networking (WDM, ASON, GMPLS)
.Optical access networks (FTTx, point-to-point Ethernet, PON)
.IP-networking (IP, Ethernet, MPLS).

We envisage you having a PhD degree or equivalent experience in a relevant research area.

The successful candidate is able to work independently with research activities both theoretically and practically, and the work includes project management to some extent.The research will be part of a major European research project and includes close collaboration with leading European industrial and academic institutions.This means that travelling can be expected and proficiency in English is a necessity.The ability to report and document the performed activities in technical reports and scientific articles is required.
