We are currently looking to recruit a Purification Scientist, reporting to Service Delivery Manager. This role is a permanent position.

The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the cell culture, purification and analytical teams, project managers as well as with other functions within the organisation.

The main duties will include:

- Development of purification processes of recombinant proteins for biopharmaceutical production as part of customer contracts
o Generation of study plans
o Protein purification using chromatography and filtration techniques including standard process analysis
o Documentation of activities and generation of study reports
- Technical trouble-shooting
- Process design and parameter optimisation
- Maintenance and calibration of equipment
- Purchase of services, goods and equipment
- Raw material handling
- Purification coordinator in customer project

Qualifications:
Education in engineering, biotechnology or similar
Proven skills in chromatographic and filtration techniques at various scales
English and Swedish language skills.

The individual will be expected to interact at all levels of the organisation and should be able to demonstrate accuracy, responsibility and good communication skills. The position will be based at the Södertälje site.
