Scientist position for Tech development team
Anoccais a dynamic platform-based biotechnology company, based in modern labs in the Biovation Science Park in Södertälje. We are leading the way to a new generation of cancer therapies that harness the power of the immune system. We are a young group of more than 85 people from over 30 countries, and we are growing rapidly.
At Anocca we have developed a proprietary, innovative biological platform for high-throughput, systematic interrogation of the human immune system with high precision, which is first aimed at enabling treatment of cancers. With a range of novel capabilities, Anocca is continuing to deploy our proprietary technologies into new areas of research, while also focusing on bringing our first T-cell therapies for cancer to clinical trials using our own manufacturing capabilities.
Job description:
We are looking for a motivated Scientist with critical thinking and innovation mindset to strengthen our Tech development team.You will be involved in research projects employing cutting edge cellular and molecular biology technologiesandin the design and execution of experiments for improving current and establishing novel workflows.
This Scientist role at Anocca is suited toearly-careeror recently graduated scientists with a keen interest in biotechnology, immunology, and synthetic biology.You should already have relevant experience ora doctorate in immunology (especially T-cell biology & cellular immunology), synthetic biology and/or next-generation sequencing. You must have excellent English communication skills, knowledge of relevant research techniques, and the ability to independently analyse and summarise data. You must be capable of working as part of a team but should also demonstrate initiative to drive projects forward.
Job requirements:
- Master degree with >3 years relevant experience or recently graduated PhD in biomedical science
- Significant and relevant experience in at least one of these fields:
- Immunology, especially T-cell biology & cellular immunology
- Stem cell biology
- Gene editing technologies
- mRNA regulation
- Synthetic biology
- Hands-on experience with cell culture, cell-based assays and Flow cytometry
- Experience with common DNA techniques such as PCR and next-generation sequencing is considered an advantage
- You are Goal orientated with a focus on proficiency and attention to detail and have the ability to work efficiently both independently and in a team environment
- This position will require strong problem-solving and excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing
- Fluent written and spoken English
