As Section Concept Leader within Engine Engineering Strategy and Concepts you will lead our sections advanced engineering technologies into the first phase of industrialization, the concept phase. You will be a part of a team that is developing new engines, maintaining an engine and fuel strategy for Volvo cars and deliver exhaust aftertreatment systems for all VCC engines. You work closely together with section concept leaders of base engine and dressed engine, a packaging engineer and technical experts to fulfill the program targets coordinated by a department concept leader. In other words, you will ensure that the right advanced engineering technologies related to combustion system and exhaust aftertreatment system are implemented into the new engine series so that the targets given by the department concept leader are met and the first engine concept built is a success.

With this exciting task you work cross functional within engine engineering and powertrain, with both diesel and gasoline technologies. You will therefore have the opportunity to develop and maintain extensive engine knowledge and really contribute to a better environment and customer satisfaction.

One of our key deliveries is to lead engine related advanced engineering and to lead section related technologies towards different engine programs in the concept phase. We are a team with an innovative spirit and a great experience of engine development in which the right candidate can further develop.

Main responsibilities
· Lead our sections advanced engineering technologies into the first phase of industrialisation.
· Ensure that the right advanced engineering technologies related to combustion system and exhaust aftertreatment system are implemented into the new engine series and ensure functionality in coherence with other engine systems.
· Fulfill section related targets, given by the department concept leader, within the engine project.
· Represent our section at the department requirement meetings for the specific engine projects.
· Take responsibility of the combustion system and EATS related tasks for the concept phase.

Required qualifications
· You have minimum a M.Sc. in engineering
· You have extensive experience from engine engineering, a minimum of 5 years.
· You have proven project management experience
· You are fluent in English (written and spoken)
· You have a valid driver´s license
