Section Manager Systems Engineering & Integration Team - HMI

Your Role

Within HMI (Human-Machine Interaction) at Business Unit Gripen Design, we focus on designing the user environment for the users of our products. Above all, we focus on the pilot's interaction and need of information in the Cockpit. A large part of our work is focused on the infrastructure that builds up the software architecture in this environment and that works with the related hardware, e.g. display, but we also focus on developing the symbols and user interface that the pilot interacts with on the displays.

We are now looking for you with a background either in line management or experienced in leading others who wants to participate and lead the HMI SEIT business as a line manager and as well as deputy area manager within HMI.

Your Profile

We seek you who are driving, committed and responsible and who enjoy working in teams. You have a great knowledge in system engineering and is interested in leadership and in developing your employees and yourself. As a person, you have good ability in communication, are result-oriented and want to work close together with your colleagues. As a SEIT line manager, you work both strategically and operationally, and your contact areas are both external and internal, national and international. As we have a close collaboration with multisite development teams such as at GDDN in Brazil and Saab Areronautics in Järfälla.

We would like you to have leadership experience and technical college education or equivalent, but great emphasis will be placed on personal fitness, as the service is based on trust and confidence.

Required skills:

* Good knowledge of System Engineering Processes
* Documented experiences in leading and developing others
* Excellent communication skills in English, verbal and written

Desired skills:

* Knowledge in line management
* Good knowledge of Gripen HMI system and Human factors
* Good knowledge of Gripen Design System Engineering Processes

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

What you will be a part of

The line managers within Gripen Design HMI work closely together across boundaries with the joint task to deliver value to our product. Being a SEIT line manager you will naturally be involved in all diciplines within the HMI area as your SEIT employees acts within a lot of integrating processes. As side of the SEIT line manager role you will also act as deputy head of HMI area with a close collobaration with the Head Manager of HMI. The work is a multifaceted, fun and evolving mission.
