Now, we’re looking for a Senior Accounting Professional to join our General Accounting function in Sandviken – a small competent team where collaboration, knowledge sharing and curiosity are keys.

About the job
In this role, you contribute to ensuring efficient and reliable handling of general accounting activities, where your main focus is supporting the Swedish companies within our Sandvik Group structure. You’re responsible for delivering financial operations in compliance with IFRS, local legislation (K3) and our internal processes and regulations.
Your everyday work includes:
financial statements,
balance reconciliation, transactions and closings,
insurance and captive accounting,
managing VAT, taxes and tax returns,
preparing forecasts,
analyze and follow up on outcomes and actual numbers,
annual reports according to Swedish GAAP and
driving various improvements and projects.

Together with our finance team, you take an active part in reporting and communicating figures and numbers that enable our management to make informed decisions and increase profitability. You report to the Manager for General Accounting, but you also work in close collaboration with the finance managers of the group companies you’re supporting.
About you
We’re looking for an analytical, thorough and quality conscious accountant with extensive experience of working in similar roles at larger companies or accounting firms. You have an academic degree in Accounting or Finance, experience in driving improvements and you’re skilled in Office 365 and especially Excel. Previous experience of working in SAP is also a big plus, as well as having worked with insurance and/or captive accounting. Working in a global business with our headquarters in Sweden, you need to communicate and present information fluently in both English and Swedish.

You’re also motivated and used to mixing teamwork with a strong independent drive to achieve results.
