Senior Assignment Leader

Electrical and Electronics Engineering in Gothenburg delivers products and solutions to all truck brands within the Volvo group. The Driver Functions & Electronics group are now recruiting a Senior Assignment Leader.

Position Description:
You will lead a team responsible for developing one of the platform components in the infotainment system. The system is an integral part of our customer?s product offering and the driver environment. To deliver world class products in this area we are constantly challenged to provide the best solutions in terms of feature, quality and cost.

The development is done in a global environment with colleagues and suppliers from all around the world. You can look forward to an individual and inspiring job together with many enthusiastic and professional colleagues.

Main Responsibilities:
- Project management towards suppliers, in close cooperation with purchasing manage and maintain supplier dialogue at all design stages and in maintenance phase.

- Continuously follow up the development by the supplier: development process review, time plans, deliveries etc.

- Responsible for securing timely decisions concerning changes and issues and handle the communication regarding issues and changes towards the supplier.

- Follow the results in the system tests and the component unitary tests.

- Responsible for securing that the team delivers integrated and smoke tested sub-system(s) according to plan

- Report project progress to line and project management

- Responsible for keeping an updated and communicated time plan and budget for the development packages

- Interface to Aftermarket, Global Manufacturing, Quality and Purchasing for the development packages

- Being team leader and coordinate the work and the resources within the team and represent the team of several component owners in project meetings Drive Supplier Management Process work internally in Volvo GTT

Qualifications and Personal Skills:
We believe you have a strong background in embedded software engineering development and a deep knowledge of supplier management, project management and team leading. Experiences from agile development is a merit.

You have customer focus and a natural, service minded attitude. In your working situation you like taking responsibility, act with integrity and, of course, with a result oriented mindset. We believe that you have a positive attitude and leading your team in a motivated, innovative and enthusiastic way. You are a good communicator with good presentation skills and are fluent in English, spoken and written.

Minimum Years of Experience Required:

- Minimum 10 years of experience of software development, preferably from the automotive industry.
- Documented experience from project management and leading teams bigger than 10 people.
- Minimum Education Required:
- Master of Science in electrical- or computer engineering or similar.
