We are currently looking to strengthen our Commodities Trading department, within our Large Corporates & Financial Institutions (LC&FI) division with a Senior Commodities Trader, perhaps this is an interesting opportunity for you?
About the job
Commodities is one of the core pillars of our financial markets business. It is a niche- and entry product that strongly sets us apart from our Nordic- as well as many of our European peers. We strive on high client attentiveness, cross geographic cooperation and an entrepreneurial spirit with high flexibility in accommodating our clients’ needs. This will put us ahead of our competition. We have sales and advisory in 10+ countries and a centralized trading team in Stockholm consisting of five traders and two quants.
As a Senior Commodities Trader you will be responsible for delivering on the trading teams and personal income budgets, whilst simultaneously providing the highest level of market-making service to our clients. As a key member of the team, with proven product knowledge, the job requires sharing of market insight and product expertise to SEB’s global network. The role also includes:
• Servicing the global sales franchise
• Managing the trading risks
• Ensuring all limits, rules and regulations are met within your area of responsibility
• Taking an active role in driving the continual growth of the overall commodity business.
You will report to the Head of Commodities Trading and will have daily interaction with local as well as international stakeholders, within and outside of SEB.
Who we are looking for
To succeed in this position, we believe that you have excellent collaboration/team-work skills and a strong business mindset. As a senior professional you have in-depth knowledge of financial instruments and markets, and a strong understanding of risk management as well as technology skills relating to risk management and pricing systems. The preferred candidate will have extensive trading experience and understanding of commodity markets.
You are well accustomed to, and thrive in, a fast-changing environment. You can keep your composure and your ability to see the broader picture and to steer the team in the right direction also when the workload is significant. You are highly customer oriented and like to drive innovation and change and constantly seeks areas of improvement.
