Our Senior Cost Estimator will be responsible for delivering cost estimates for various life cycles of the projects undertaken by H2GS AB. This role covers all estimating activities including value optimization, cost database management, benchmarking, data collection and risk analysis.
Responsibilities:
Work independently to produce multi discipline cost estimates across all phases of the projects.
Review and develop materials take off’s (MTO) and estimates to support the requirements of the ongoing Projects.
Strong understanding of Cost Estimating principles in line with estimating standards, guidelines, and best industry practices.
Co-ordinate and review third party prepared cost estimates to assure accuracy and consistency.
Perform internal/ external benchmarking to improve and support optimization efforts.
Present cost estimates to key stakeholders for review and approvals.
Participate in assurance reviews and technical challenge sessions to ensure consistent application of estimating standards.
Support gathering of actual cost data from completed projects and other activities for use in creation and regular update of a central estimating cost database.
Review, improve and maintain existing cost estimating model to ensure high efficiency of estimating.
Support project risk analysis efforts, using various tools and software’s like Risk or similar.


Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in (Mechanical/ Electrical / Process/ Civil) Engineering. Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
10 years of Work experiences, preferably in major industrial projects like Steel mills, power plants, refineries, chemical and oil and gas.
Familiar with AACEI Standards and classifications.
Familiar with Stage Gate Processes (FEL) and various types of estimates used.
Proficiency in using various estimating tools and Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential.
