Senior Finance Analyst to Astra Zeneca!

The assignment is within the Decision Support & Analysis team at AstraZeneca, who provides finance business partnering support to Science Unit functions.  The Sr. Finance Analyst position provides Finance Business Partnering support to a number of critical early stage Clinical Project Teams who are responsible for executing phase 1 and phase 2 development programs & preparing robust plans to support future investment decisions. 

Major Responsibilities
You will handle quality financial and business input to individual investment decisions, challenge key forecasting assumptions and deliver expert financial analysis of performance, key risks and sensitivities to enable teams to make effective business decisions. You will drive financial performance and business activity, deliver and communicate performance and business planning reports, and advise senior management on key drivers. A part of your job will be to negotiate and communicate effectively across teams and business units. You will have joint accountability with the business for the accuracy of forecasts and, by using a good understanding of the business model and financial drivers, challenge and influence the key cost drivers. You will also be developing reliable operational and financial forecasts ensuring resources are allocated to maximize value creation. You will lead the financial planning cycle in area of accountability and set performance targets and incentives, aligned to strategy and operational plans. By highlighting sensitivities & risks and delivering timely, accurate and granular reporting and commentary of [global] performance, you will be linking business drivers to actual spend and forecast. You will also support key business & investment decisions.

Your employer will be Adecco, which means that you will be contracted as a consultant though us and represent Adecco towards AstraZeneca. As a start you will be contracted for 12 months, and for the right person there is a good chance that the contract will be extended. The job is full time.

Who are we looking for?
You should have several years experience from finance function (min 5 years), preferably from a large international company. You shall also have experience from final accounts, forecasts and budget, and from supporting project management. If you have a good ability to manage customer requirements, analyzing issues, developing options and enabling decision making based on strategic business needs, you will enter your new role quickly. If you also can work proactive with the business to understand future financial information needs and producing efficient solutions, you will have no problem to adapt in this position.

Is it preferable if you have experience of clinical and pharmaceutical drug development and have good written and verbal communication skills. We are also looking for someone who are good in collaboration and have good interpersonal skills, and if you have proven excellent ability to build and maintain cross functional working relationships, you will feel comfortable in this role.

If you have prior experience from working at AstraZeneca that is highly qualifying.
