Senior Group Controller

Vattenfall Group Finance is now looking for the right person to fill the position of Senior Group Controller. A position organized within the unit Group Control with preferred location Stockholm area. 


We offer a challenging position in an international team with a Group wide responsibility. Group control is overall responsible for Vattenfall’s financial and business follow-up, management reporting, business planning, forecasting and investment controlling. We act as advisors mainly to our Group CFO but also our CEO and Group Executive Management. We also have a close cooperation with Business Area Controlling, Investor Relations, Group Strategy and other Corporate functions.
 
As Senior Group Controller you deliver proactive business controlling, contribute to strategic and operational process development, work to enhance steering principles and act as miscellaneous advisor to the Head of Group Control.
 
The successful candidate is communicative and enthusiastic and has senior controlling experience, preferably from the utility industry, a strong business acumen, credibility with the field and the ability to challenge and lead. You also possess strong stakeholder management capabilities and are able to build relationships at the most senior level of an organization.


Your main tasks and responsibilities
 
Participate and /or lead development initiatives within Group Control and Group Finance
Perform excellent business analysis and bring conclusions to and challenge the business areas
Participate in business planning, forecasting and follow-up processes
Ad hoc advise within the field of expertise
Contribute to the overall development of Group Control including process development and management reporting

 
Your profile and personal skills
 
A relevant bachelor or master’s degree or equivalent experience
At least 5-7 years of senior business control experience, preferably from the utility industry
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver quality output in a changing environment
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Well structured, strong planning and organizational skills
Process development skills
Strong stakeholder management skills, able to connect and build relationships with senior executive management
Ability to challenge and lead
Fluent English and Swedish, both spoken and written, is required. German and/or Dutch is a merit.
