Kort beskrivning av företaget: The Institute of Health and Care Sciences offers a number at undergraduate and postgraduate programs as well as individual academic courses within the first, second and third cycle of higher education. The Nursing program and the Diagnostic and Radiology Nursing Program lead to a professional degree and to a bachelor's degree. The Midwifery Program and the Postgraduate programs in Specialist Nursing lead to a professional degree in combination with a master degree. All professional programs at undergraduate level lead to a license issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare. Individual academic courses are offered at advanced level, which give an opportunity for continued studies towards a master's degree in one of the Institute's main topics; Nursing, Reproductive and Perinatal Health, Radiography or Health care Pedagogics. The institute offers a postgraduate program leading to a PhD degree in Health Care Sciences.

Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter: SPECIFIC SUBJECT DESCRIPTION: Public health science aims towards increased health in the population, in a specific region, nationally or globally. The field of study covers studies of distribution and predictors of health and illness in the population. In addition to e.g. epidemiology, statistical methods and medical sciences, knowledge in health economics and in health systems is vital in evaluation of the effects of programs aiming towards improved public health as well as the effects of priorities of public resources. It is very relevant that the students in our programs in Nursing and Caring sciences obtain this knowledge. JOB ASSIGNMENTS: Duties within the employment include teaching, assignment and responsibility as a course coordinator, supervision and examination at undergraduate level, advanced level and at postgraduate level with mainly focus in public health and health care economics. The assignment as a course coordinator comprises the responsibility to develop and coordinate learning objectives, learning activities, assessments and assessment criteria in relation to the content, purpose and current pedagogical research. Quality assurance in accordance with validated evaluation criteria as well as to strive towards the operational goals set at the Institute are also responsibilities for the course coordinator. The employee is expected to participate in planned joint meetings and activities at the Institute. The holder of this employment is expected to initiate and apply for external funding.

Beskrivning av kvalifikationer: Eligibility The qualifications for academic positions are given in Chapter 4, Section 3 - 4 of the Higher Education Ordinance. PhD degree in Public Health with specialization in Health Care Economics and qualification in a Health Care profession licensed by the National Board of Health and Welfare and shown pedagogical skills. ASSESSMENT: Regulations for the evaluation of qualifications for academic positions are given in Chapter 4, Section 3 - 4 of the Higher Education Ordinance. First assessment criterion are scientific and pedagogical skills. In addition great emphasis will be given to experience of current research in Public Health/Health Care economics and person-centered care. Expertise and experience in register-based research and knowledge of drug safety are merits. Experience of teaching at University level in nursing, midwifery and/or specialist nursing programs is a merit. The applicant is expected to teach in both Swedish and in English. The successful applicant may also be asked to complete an educational programme within the first year of employment.
