Senior Manager Software Development

Nasdaq is now looking for a Senior Manager to join our Stockholm team. In this role, you will be joining a team consisting of a very skilled group of developers working together to form the core functional and non-functional development of the Multi Matching Engine Trading solution. The Multi Matching Engine Trading solution powers several big exchanges around the world, including in Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and our own Nordic market.

The role entails responsibilities such as:

* Manages a team of professional employees and/or supervisors
* Aids employees in the goal setting and performance review processes; performs other talent management and development decisions as needed
* Adopting a holistic view and being accountable for the performance and results of the team
* Participates in both internal and external projects that are broad in scope and closely tied to the organizational strategy
* Coaches, motivates, develops, recruits and retains employees while rewarding and cultivating a culture of high performing teams

Your profile

In order to do all this successfully you must have a genuine interest in people and are familiar with technical development. You have to be able to look holistically at initiatives and projects to prioritize the team's focus. You also have at least 10 years of experience within the software development industry.

Furthermore, we expect that you would be able to:

* Coach the teams for agile ways of working
* Proactively communicate with stakeholders
* Identify, diagnose and remove cross-team impediments
* Help the team produce high value and high quality products

As a person you have good social skills and like to interact with customers, both internally and externally. You also are proficient in motivating and leading an agile team in a matrix organization.

You should have strong problem solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. We also expect that your English would be fluent, both written and verbal.
