Senior Operations Analyst - PRA Group Nordics

PRA Group Nordics is seeking a strong candidate to strengthen our analytical capabilities. PRA is a data driven company and is dependent on sophisticated analytics to succeed.
The person will be part of the Nordic Analytics & Operational Strategy team and report to the Director of Analytics & Operational Strategy who is placed in Oslo. The remaining team consist of 4 people placed in Helsinki, Uppsala and Oslo. The team?s overall responsibility is to ensure that we give the right offer to the right customer at the right time in the right manner through the right channel in an effective way.

Main role and responsibilities:
You will be responsible for operational reporting and analytics including customer scoring for the Nordic countries (FI, NO, SE, DK):
- Maintain and continuously improve our monthly operational reporting
- Continuously conduct new analytics on available data
- Understand what the numbers are saying (e.g. trends in leading and lagging indicators) and provide insight to operational management
- Maintain and continuously improve our customer scoring models

Candidate profile - requirements
- 3-6 years of relevant work experience. Industry knowledge is positive but not required
- University degree at Master level in a quantitative field, such as finance, economics, mathematics, statistics and/or engineering with excellent results
- Fluent in English and in one Nordic language
- Excellent MS Excel skills
- Ability to write SQL codes in order to extract data from source systems
- Experience in SAS is positive but not required
- Analytical orientation, a structured approach, high quality standards, be attentive to details and be able to understand the complete picture
- Critical and creative thinking (be able to identify problems, come up with solutions and think ?out of the box?)
- Ability to co-operate and work well within a team situated in three different countries
- Due to the nature of the role, periods with heavy workload requires the candidate to work well under pressure
