FPC is seeking Senior Product Manager to join us in developing future fingerprint systems for the industry of Smart Cards as well as other adjacent industries. FPC is a leader in the development of capacitive fingerprint sensors and designs the whole system, from advanced custom silicon devices and microelectronic packaging, to algorithms and software for fingerprint recognition and applications on the target devices.

 The Role

The main focus for the Senior Product Manager is product ownership in FPC product portfolio for world leading fingerprint sensor systems to the Smart Card industry. The product ownership include all aspects from product idea to launch, maintenance and termination and require frequent interaction with all parts of the company with tight customer communication making sure all aspects of securing market leading products. You will also drive product marketing material for your product and contribute to the portfolio planning function. You will secure product competitiveness by carefully analyzing information from customers and Sales.

You will get the opportunity to be a central part of FPCs development in this field and your experience and knowledge of the field is very important for us.

 FPC customers are located world-wide and this position will require traveling. The role will be based at our office in Malmö.

The Senior Product Manager reports to VP Product Management.

 Your background

This role requires a Master of Science in engineering or equivalent, as well as at least five years occupational experience of Smart Card industries / echo systems. Preferable in a production or developing company. The role requires frequent contacts with our global customers and you need to have experience from international customer interactions.

You need to be fluent in spoken and written English and not opposed to travel abroad.

 To succeed in this role requires:

• Excellent analytic skills with a critical mindset and ability to identify important product properties ensuring a successful product life cycle.
• Great interest and good understanding of embedded hardware and software, manufacturing/production and quality.
• Extrovert personality with senior experience in interacting customers.
• Documented experience from the Smart Card industry / echo system is essential.


 Preference will be given to those with following areas or experiences:

• Capability of driving and taking own initiatives
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience of working with many different stakeholders
• Have a positive approach to new ideas and see new opportunities
• Good planning and structure capabilities, but also have the ability to improvise and quickly find solutions when necessary.
• Manage an international and fast paced dynamic environment, balancing several priorities at the same time.


 You also have essential qualities such as being ambitious, motivated and flexible. You need to be comfortable working in a growing company, where you will be expected to assume considerable personal responsibility for your own activities and the company’s success.

You have a huge interest in high tech. This also requires you to be a team player who contributes to an open and positive atmosphere in the workplace.
