Senior Product Manager
HL Display is growing and will recruit a Senior Product Manager who will be responsible for critical product portfolio. The Product Manager is a key position and it is essential that the Product Manager has a strong business oriented profile where he/she understands the overall goals and objectives for HL Display.
The Product Manager will work in a global environment where he/she takes full responsibility and managing the product portfolios life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities. This includes developing existing portfolio together with the marketing and sales team. The Product Manager is responsible for the analysis of the portfolio regarding sales and profitability, continuous monitoring of range performance, identifying and suggesting actions for non-performing items, managing phase outs and monthly tracking of selected KPIs . The Product Manager is also responsible for existing price list and for the pricing strategy together with sales, finance and R/production.
The Product Manager takes the responsibility and manage the innovation pipeline, recommends opportunities and takes the lead in developing new ideas into new products together with customer, marketing, sales, R/production. Finally you will be responsible for leading new product launches to the market.
The Product Manager will also be responsible for:
competitive analyses, staying up to date with competitors offer on the market, making sure that information about competitive actions is shared within the company.
staying tuned on the latest trends within merchandising and in-store communication within the retail environment. Understanding the targets and challenges of retailers and brand companies. Identify new opportunities and propose action plan to support growth.
giving directions and content to the communication department to develop relevant sales material for product ranges and brands, including brochures, fliers, presentations, instruction films, web content, catalogues, launch kits, etc.
proactively supporting all geographical areas with regard to sales support on product ranges and brands, including sales arguments, product benefits, sharing of best practice etc. Supporting countries with product sales training when needed. Creating operational marketing activities to support the sales.
close collaboration with the Sales team regarding development and production of marketing materials. Support any communication initiatives to support the portfolio or company both internally or externally.
Academic degree in business/marketing or equivalent.
5-6 years experience in a similar role as Product Manager.
Working with B2B (or B2C) and product development.
Fluent in English and Swedish and it is an advantage if you have additional languages ??such as German or French.
Creative and passionate for the business, energetic and takes initiatives
Sound understanding of financials.
Excellent analytical skills.
Combines the ability of strategic thinking with a strong hands-on attitude.
Pro-active and result orientated.
Excellent communication skills at different levels. You must make sure that everyone understands what is happening, when, and why, especially as things inevitably change.
Proven ability to drive international projects. Feels comfortable in working in a highly dynamic and multi-cultural environment.
Team player. Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
You must possess a unique blend of business and technical know-how, understand the big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time in the market to understand their problems, and find innovative solutions for the broader market. You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will work with marketing, sales and engineering counterpart to define product release requirements. You will work with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping the organisation to understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering, working closely with the sales channel and key customers.
