Senior Program Planner

Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Senior Program Planner to join our great team in Västerås.

In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.

The Senior Program Planner will have ownership of the integrated plan for setting up and maintaining up-to-date the time plan for the Labs Campus, that consists of the following facility construction projects:

- Northvolt Labs factory Safety & Environmental Testing facility
- Performance & Life Testing facility
- Cathode Material Lab

Each facility construction project should have its own integrated time schedule (level 2 at minimum) and an integrated time plan for the Labs Campus should also be developed to reflect the dependencies betweenthe different facility projects and the testing and production imperatives of Northvolt.

The detailed project time schedule for each facility should cover the complete project sequence, from permitting to handover, including design and engineering, construction, purchasing, manufacturing and installation of process and testing equipment, electrical and instrumentation, utilities, commissioning and Start of operations etc

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Develop and maintain overall time plan for Labs Campus and detailed time schedule for each facility project
- Manage progress measurement (Northvolt and contractors) and produce weekly reports to monitor progress
- Run and manage scheduling coordination, both internally as well as externally with vendors

Education/Experience

- A Relevant University Degree (B.Sc. / M.Sc. or similar)
- 10+ years as planner in demanding projects for infrastructure or industrial facility construction, with specific knowledge in civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and commissioning.
- Experience in MS Project, Primavera and similar tools is a plus but not required
- Preferably having worked in multi-cultural environment
- Fluency in English
- Valuable (but not required) if fluency in other languages (Japanese, Swedish, Chinese, French)


Northvolt was founded in 2016 with the mission to build the world’s greenest battery cell, with a minimal carbon footprint and the highest ambitions for recycling, to enable the European transition to renewable energy. Northvolt’s team of experts is building the next generation battery cell factory focused on process innovation, scale and vertical integration. Once completed, it will be Europe’s largest battery cell factory and produce 32 GWh worth of capacity annually.
