Purpose of the role
As a trusted Finance Business Partner you will drive the value creation in the Sales Segments West Europe, MEA and APAC with insight, financial expertise, challenge, and steering support. Beyond that, you will ensure transparency on product profitability before order intake for the whole Sales team.
What you will do
As a Sales Controlling Business Partner and “Financial Guardian” in the Sales team you will:
Drive Sales value creation by providing insight, financial expertise, and steering support
Challenge Business leaders and teams proactively by highlighting improvement potential
Support Sales portfolio optimization with clear data analysis, messaging and influencing of Sales strategy and tactics
Develop and maintain product cost calculations & provide transparency on profitability before order intake
Ensure visible clarity on Sales performance with analysis and meaningful reporting
Enable monthly performance reviews with Sales Segment teams and safeguard Sales Segment KPIs
Support the development of Sales Segment strategy, annual plan, rolling FC, and forward-looking activities
Manage development projects within Business Controlling or cross functional

The essentials
Substantial experience in performance management processes of reporting, planning & follow-up, ideally in the process industry
Outstanding analytical skills and enthusiasm for quantitative decision analysis
Strong personality to act as a challenging Business Partner
Distinguished communication and influencing abilities in a multinational environment
Advanced competence to translate analysis into messages, recommendations, and actions
Excellent conceptual insight into financial profitability, value creation and performance drivers
Proof of international project management experience
Advanced skills in spreadsheet and relational database tools (Excel, PowerBI)

The team
You will report to the Vice President Sales Controlling Europe and work alongside a multinational team of eight. Our purpose is to drive Sales value creation by providing insight, financial expertise, challenge and steering support.
In your role as a Business Partner you will work closely with the Vice President Sales West Europe, MEA and the Vice President Sales APAC and the corresponding Sales teams.

Location
Flexible - at or close to Outokumpu’s main European hubs (Helsinki or Tornio/Kemi, Finland; Krefeld, Germany; Avesta region, Sweden, Sheffield, U.K., and Vilnius, Lithuania).
