Description

The System Management department in Lund is a group of about 60 skilled engineers divided into four sections:

System and Architecture       

System CM      

System Assurance      

System Analysis

System Assurance and Analysis need to reinforce their teams with some new talented engineers. The teams are a dynamic group of highly skilled engineers that mainly work with technical investigations on a system level, software troubleshooting and counseling our expertise knowledge to other parts of the software organization within Sony Mobile. The work is performed in a global and multi-cultural environment. The overall goal with our work is to ensure that the software has the quality and the performance tunings our customers expect from Sony mobile phones. As a member of the team you will be involved in the product development cycle from startup of early prototypes until the last software release. The scope of your work is the overall software, from low level software to higher level user interface and you will analyze software behavior, locate problem areas and recommend solutions and improvements. You may also be involved in developing new and existing processes and tools to improve software efficiency. As a person the applicant shall have good social skills, be in position to drive his/hers issue to the very end. The applicant must be in position to communicate without any problems in English.

Competence

We are looking for highly skilled engineers who have the ability to solve complex technical problems efficiently and that can work with such problems alone and together with others. More specifically, a system engineer should have the following profile:

Master large C, C++ and Java systems and systemic interaction in a Linux/Android environment. Several years of experience from programming in a Linux/Unix environment. Ability to solve complex software problems even where there is an extremely limited set of tools available. Deep experience in debugging third party code, finding complex bugs and in making software work. Used to working in a Linux/Unix software environment, command line tools and scripting. Knowledgeable in software security assessment.An understanding of low-level software and ARM assembly programming.
