What can we propose?
You will contribute to our world-class development and integration of electrical system solutions with the aim to reach our Zero City vision: zero emissions, zero noise, zero accidents and zero congestion. You will be part of the development within the wiring harness design area in our electromobility vehicles and will work closely together with different stakeholders within AB Volvo in order to achieve our customer’s expectations.
The role consists in identifying and breaking down product requirements into technical solutions for the wiring harness design. You will create diagrams and bundle drawings for the traction voltage system and be involved in all phases of the product development process.

B.Sc. or higher education in Electrical, Electronics or Automation Engineering or similar is highly valuable as well as previous experience from wiring harnesses design. Previous experience from electrified vehicles, packaging and installation knowledge is considered as meritorious and so is general high voltage knowledge.


Since you have good engineering judgment and priorities, you have the ability and interest to technically support and challenge colleagues in their work and their mindset. You like to share your passion for technical solutions, and you have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. As a person you are positive, you display driving force and have a structured way of working.


Main area of responsibility:
You will be a part of the Electromobility group within the Electrical & Software Architecture Department. You will play an important role in achieving our Electromobility program targets and your main responsibilities are:
Drive the wiring harness development for the traction voltage system
Specify cables: type, connectors and length, following internal and external standards
Create and maintain wiring diagrams as well as bundle drawings
Align cables requirements with internal and external stakeholders
Follow-up vehicle builds during the development phase using analytical and detailed-oriented skills targeting the improvement of the design
