Sandvik Mining is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a leading global supplier of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for the mining industry. The offering covers rock drilling, rock cutting, rock crushing, loading and hauling and materials handling.

The Technical Services department within Sandvik Mining's product area Crushing & Screening is responsible for providing service, support and commissioning of our products. We are currently looking for a driven and committed co-worker with good leadership qualities for our department in Svedala.

Key performance areas
As a Service and Commissioning Engineer you will carry out technical services and assignments for Crushing & Screening within service, support, installation and commissioning. You will plan and conduct your work independently but in close cooperation with our customers and internal functions. A large part of your job is leading others and being a supervisor.

Your responsibilities include:
- Preventative maintenance, resolving production stops and problems that arise unexpectedly and giving technical advice
- Providing advice and problem solving in consultation with the customer at their place of business
- Installation, commissioning and fine-tuning of complete facilities or of individual machines
- Fine-tuning of our crushing process
- Basic training of the customer's operators and maintenance personnel may be needed
- Staying up-to-date with current routines and policies with respect to environmental, health and safety (EHS) issues

This position involves considerable international travel for longer periods of time, with up to 150 travel days per year. You will report to the Manager of Technical Services.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with at least a three-year college education in Automation Engineering or the equivalent. You have three to five years' experience of similar work and commissioning of electrical and automation systems, preferably from an international position. Good skills in English, both written and verbal, are important, as documentation after completion of assignments is done in English. Additionally, you have basic knowledge of electrical work, technical knowledge of hydraulics and mechanics and good knowledge of PLC systems, as well as some experience with an HMI/SCADA program. Electrical qualifications and knowledge of relay technology are advantageous, as is experience with Siemens control systems, fieldbus systems and OPC.

The position requires a good holistic perspective, as well as detailed knowledge and the ability to get things done with a good result focused on the customer's needs and desires. You have a good feel for service and a pedagogical talent that allows you to carry out basic training in your field.
