Service and Laboratory Engineer

The Federal-Mogul Corporation is a global US$ 5.3 billion (2009) supplier to the motor industry with 39,000 employees.With the brands Daros and Goetze is Federal-Mogul a global leader in the development and manufacturing of piston rings for large bore engines.Daros is located in Mölnlycke outside Göteborg, Sweden, and has 100 employees and annual sales of approximately SEK 200 million.Read more at www.daros.se and www.federalmogul.com Your main responsibilities will be to function as a link between customers, marketing and sales and product development based on service experience.You will provide technical sales support to world-wide agents.Additionally, you will carry out and report ship inspections world-wide, including to make scavenging port inspections and cylinder liner diameter measurements.You will also make laboratory analyses of piston rings and participate in piston ring development projects.Your tasks involve interacting with customers world-wide and technical and commercial team members located in Burscheid, Germany as well as Gothenburg.We are looking for somebody with experience from engine service or laboratory work, preferable from the marine business.You have a university degree from Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, material science, marine engineering or equivalent experience.The job requires approximately 50 travel days per year You have: * An open and curious mind and you like to understand and to solve problems.* A strong drive and commitment to finishing your assignment.* Good English skills, both spoken and written.We are offering a challenging and exciting position in an international business.You will have an important role in our future expansion and for the right person there will be further career opportunities inside the group.
