We are looking for a Service Designer to join our growing Service Design team within our consumer experience organization in business area Europe. In this role, you will collaborate with teams through discovery, prototyping, design, and delivery of sustainable human-centered service experiences that exceed expectations. You will collaborate with teams and stakeholders in our local teams; as well as with our global design function, to ensure a strategic growth of our service offering and our service design community.
By reframing challenges and taking a holistic approach to design, you will understand the needs of our end users, business area requirements, and the digital/physical systems that these inhabit. You will have solid understanding of strategic tools and frameworks, service design methods, and the technologies necessary to envision and bring to market world-class products and services. You should be critical yet collaborative and capable of energizing teams and engaging cross-functional colleagues.
The mission is to help take our existing service offering to the next level. Both by developing and systemizing solutions according to key principles and metrics, but also to drive innovation that builds relevance and resilience for the long-term benefit of our users and business.
Responsibilities:
As part of the service design team, you will play a key role in improving the way consumer experiences are created at Electrolux. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
· Collaborate across the organization to help build synergies, effectiveness, and impact of service design, on a local as well as global level
· Demonstrating the value and impact of service design through applying principles, tools, and methods and having a strong point of view to help drive mind shifts forward
· Utilize visual and verbal storytelling to share your discoveries, gather and integrate feedback, influence stakeholders, and create energy for an idea or an initiative. Ultimately, you will co-create the way forward with others.
· Apply research-based, design-led approach to scoping and solving complex challenges
· Manage your own service design projects, ensuring to continuously improve and strengthening our service portfolio
Qualifications:
· 1+ years of professional experience in a service design position
· In-depth knowledge in design thinking and human-cantered design
· Knowledge and experience within a relevant service design discipline (systems design, business design, interaction design, or user experience design)
· Ability to work within a self-directed culture and navigate ambiguity
· Academic background in Service Design, Interaction Design, or related design field; or, equivalent work experience
· Fluent in spoken and written English
