Job Description

As a Service Engineer you will be assigned to various exciting projects supervising, testing, repairing and installing Cat Propulsions equipment on site to our customers in Europe and Globally. In this role you provide best service, give advice, determine the cause of any damage and recommend and advice customers on installation, upgrade or recommend spare parts to ensure the improved performance of Caterpillars state of the art equipment.

-Commissioning, testing, repair or installation of Cat Propulsion equipment on site and ensure the performance of our equipment is up to the requirements and satisfaction of our Customer.
-Recommend and advice customer on installation/upgrade to help improve the performance of our equipment.
-Assess and determine the cause of any damaged, malfunction or defects on our equipment.
-Provide services to Caterpillars customers in Europe and Globally.
-Recommend spare parts to customer during repair or overhauling works.
-Monitor progress on the works carried out and coordinate with customer and shipyard on site during repair and commissioning jobs.
-Ensure our Equipment performs as per requirement and satisfaction of our Customers.
-Prepare time sheets and service reports upon completion of all works.


Profile Description

-Mechanical/electrical/marine engineer degree or similar.
-Minimum 2 years of construction and/or maintenance experience in relevant mechanical/ electrical areas, preferably within marine sectors.
-Preferably experience and knowledge in electrical systems and maintenance.
-Ability to give sufficient service and meet deadline under pressure.
-Willing to travel extensively.
-Ability to communicate effectively with customers.
-Fluent knowledge in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
