About the role
Professionals Nord is on behalf of Sund Birsta searching for a service engineer. It is a recruitment, which means that you will be employed directly by our client. We manage the recruitment process for Sund Birsta in terms of selection, interviews and presentation to the client.

Arbetsuppgifter

Job duties
You will work with equipment and management within the steel industry on the international market. The role includes traveling around the world and the journeys will be frequent so you will have the chance to meet a lot of new kinds of people, cultures and environments. The lengths of the journeys can vary from a few days up to several months but in total it will be approx. 100-200 days of travel per year. Their current project involves journeys to Switzerland, Austria and Vietnam.

You will corporate with a team of service engineers in Sund Birsta that works with equipment and handling systems within the steel industry with the whole world as your office. In the role as a service engineer you will be supervising installations and commissioning of machines but also carry out service or maintenance work of Sund Birsta´s equipment, onsite as well in our workshop.

You will also document and follow up on the performance of the equipment with different types of tests. To educate the customers maintenance personnel in both classroom and hands on with is also a part of the service engineer role. When you are not visiting customers, you will assist in the workshop or work with functionality and development of Sund Birsta´s products.

We are looking for
You have a technical education and experience from technical equipment, preferably equipment that involves mechanic, electric and hydraulic. Specific experience within the steel industry is a merit but not a requirement. You are driven by new technologies and want to work in a team characterized by experienced technical experts. You have knowledge of PLC system Siemens S7. Since you will travel around the world it is very important that you master the English language fluently in speech as well in writing and additional languages is a merit.

We believe that your personal qualities are crucial to how well you will feel comfortable in the role. You have your own driving force in bringing your work forward and get motivated by working team oriented. Since you will be the face of Sund Birsta towards the customers, it’s important that you as person are perceptive, outgoing and shows commitment towards giving a good impression and to accomplish a good work.
