Outokumpu IT is responsible for delivering IT business application and infrastructure services for Outokumpu. IT co-operates closely with Business Areas and other Group Functions in identifying and delivering solutions that increase Outokumpu’s business performance.
Operations Solutions is responsible for all site/mill specific solutions and overall development of our manufacturing operations related IT capabilities, from manufacturing execution to asset optimization in two of our business areas Europe and Ferrochrome.
We are now seeking an experienced Service Manager to manage our IT application services provided for Degerfors site. We operate our solutions at our plants in Avesta, Torshälla and Degerfors in Sweden.
As a Service Manager you will be responsible for general management, operational efficiency, development and overall user experience of IT services in your responsibility area and take care of all operational service-related management activities (e.g. change management, reporting, budgeting and operational vendor management). You will be the single point of contact on service management topics within your services, but also act as an ambassador for all IT solutions, services and be the face for IT towards our business. In this role you will be working tightly with other Service Managers and team members across our sites and functions as well as our IT ecosystem suppliers.


Main responsibilities:
General IT Service Management for application services for Degerfors production site
Service performance, user experience and budget compliance, including service performance monitoring/reporting, budgeting and financial forecasting
Actively seek for further efficiencies, drive modernization, harmonization/rationalization and suggest improvement activities
Ensure required security and data protection activities within services and solutions including lifecycle management of service components
Maintain consistency of the service structure and Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
Communicate and cooperate proactively with internal and external IT teams, business counterparts and other stakeholders
Ensure IT Process compliance
Participate in group wide IT projects and working method improvement as a team member of Outokumpu Group IT.



The key requirements are:
5+ years’ experience in IT Service Management
An applicable academic degree or qualification in technology
Experience in ServiceNow is seen beneficial
IT and ITIL knowledge in theory and practice
Experience of managing suppliers and off shore services in multivendor environment
Able to understand the “big picture”, able to prioritize and focus on essentials to execute
Ability to build trusted relationships within the business
Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills and experience in working with multinational teams
Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both oral and in written text

Position is based in Degerfors, Sweden with a possibility to work hybrid. Some travelling to other sites as well abroad is also expected.
