Seven Project Managers, New Products – Research & Development

 

BillerudKorsnäs is looking for seven Project Managers for our Research & Development (R&D) department, based at the Company’s Frövi, Gruvön, Gävle and Skärblacka sites.

 

BillerudKorsnäs is determined to be number one in innovation. Against that background, we strive to find new materials, products and business opportunities that pave the way to innovation leadership in the packaging industry. The main focus of the R&D department is to take new products from idea to launch. Through an in-depth understanding of our materials and our processes, we develop and offer smarter and more sustainable products to the market. R&D also offers the Company expertise in selected areas such as Product Safety, IPR and Microbiology.

The R&D Department is organized under the Strategic Development unit, along with the Investment Management and New Business Lab departments. As an organization, we are expected to challenge our company, our market and ourselves to think in new ways. For that reason, we are now looking forward to recruiting candidates with a curious mind to strengthen our development teams at our Frövi, Gruvön, Gävle and Skärblacka sites.

 

Your challenge

You will act as Project Manager and lead and participate in product development projects and strategic projects. You will manage your projects based on clear goals to define, develop and launch products for better packaging solutions.

 

You will act in close co-operation with our production and market organizations, as well as selected customers. You will also contribute to other aspects of product renewal, e.g. idea generation and management, IPR and technology intelligence.

 

With your technical background, you will continuously develop your competence in one of our principal competence areas “Paper Structure and Converting” and “Barriers and Print Surfaces”, with the overall objective of taking a leading position in these areas. 

 

Who are we looking for?

You have a relevant education for the position, e.g. M.Sc. in Materials Design & Engineering, Industrial Engineering & Management, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or comparable work experience. You have probably already worked for a few years, with project experience that you can apply from your first day at BillerudKorsnäs. Certification of your project management skills is an advantage. However, you could also be a recent graduate with exceptional drive.

 

Your ability to efficiently reach your project targets through a systematic and holistic approach will be essential. You are expected to have a strong drive for personal development, parallel to your contribution to developing and changing BillerudKorsnäs. Your commitment will contribute to changing your work environment and, in the long run, our company.

 

You are driven by the challenge to change, both from objectives set by others and those you set yourself. You are a quick learner, with a strong drive to deliver results. Your curiosity leads you to continuous development of your knowledge and competence. You have good communication skills and gain the confidence of the people you meet and work with through your honest drive for understanding and improvement.

The positions are located at our Frövi, Gruvön, Gävle and Skärblacka sites and the role requires travel in and outside Sweden.

 

The positions are full time and the appointments will take place during the autumn 2013.
