You are fluent in English, both oral and written, and you know how to work with Revit, AutoCAD 3d, Sketch Up and the Microsoft Office tools. You also have an interior design or art and design educational qualification.
To succeed in this role, you have the following knowledge:
• Several years of working with visual merchandising and interior management/design on different levels
• Experience in a retail environment, and preferably from home furnishing and or different retailers
• Translate Home furnishing knowledge into relevant, functional, aesthetic, and commercial home furnishing solutions
• Strengthen the uniqueness of the IKEA identity in range presentation and home furnishing solutions
• Improve and implement global tools, proven solutions, and best practices and when needed make the global solutions locally relevant
• Demonstrate strong project management skills and have the ability to create inspirational presentations where you are selling your ideas
• Work across functions within INGKA Group and in good collaboration with other IKEA businesses to secure a strong and aligned consumer experience across touchpoints
You demonstrate strong IKEA leadership skills and the ability to lead and inspire co-workers around you. Last but not least, you can of course identify yourself with the IKEA culture and values.
Your responsibilities
As a Shop Design Specialist, your main is to design the retail spaces to improve the customer experience. You are responsible for creating innovative range presentation solutions that contribute to a growing IKEA business and inspire our customers to purchase and discover new solutions for their life at home. You will be a great contributor to the customer experience in our stores and positioning IKEA as a leading company in home furnishing trends.
You will also collaborate and support our 30 markets in creating a visually stimulating and engaging shopping experience and work cross functional within Ingka Group and other IKEA businesses. Supporting the development of our business plan and ensure that all initiatives are supporting longterm profitability.
This is a permanent role, located in Malmö and will report to the Shop Design Manager.
