The group Virtual Test Environments creates simulators for virtual testing and calibration as a complement to physical vehicle testing. The group consists around 15 engineers working with development of simulation environments and modelling. We are working as part of the DevOps System Teams for the department Vehicle Energy and Motion Control.

What’s in it for you?
As a Simulator Developer you will be part of a team working with the development of our simulation environments. You will develop our Software In the Loop (SIL) environments, used for development and testing of the vehicle control software, as well as in the Continuous Integration (CI) tool chain. You will work with other simulation and model developers, in a tightly knit Scrum team.  Our daily work consists of different tools and spans a large technical area. You will need to continuously develop your  competence in new aspects of complete vehicle control functionality and software testing. In our team, you will have the opportunity to grow and use your competence to influence the direction of the development.

What you will do
The team works with the development of SIL simulation environments  and system solutions with respect to vehicle energy management and vehicle motion control. You will be part of the development of models for control system and actuators, including complete powertrain models. The major part of the work is integration of models and software into a complete environment, which will be used for automatic and manual software testing and calibration.  Maintaining and troubleshooting the existing application is a continuous task, and you will support software developers and test engineers in the usage of the environment.

You and your skills
We are looking for you who has M.Sc in Mechatronic Engineering, Applied Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent and experience of development of simulation environments.
