Social Media and PR Manager

THE JOB

This position includes public relations, content strategy, develop brand awareness, generate inbound traffic and cultivate leads and sales. The Social Media manager is a highly motivated individual with experience and a passion for designing and implementing the brands content strategy, creating relevant content, blogging, community participation and leadership.


WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for someone with several years experience working with brands in the social media marketing space. We're looking for a highly organized, strong communicator, client-facing, rockstar that loves social media marketing.

You will oversee PR and Social Media campaigns which include but are not limited to: research, campaign & content creation, execution, monitoring and reporting. You will also create public relations opportunities for new business, news and successes. A knowledge of some SEO best practices is also helpful but not a requirement.


YOUR SKILLS

- Understanding and interest in how bouth youth and adults communicate today

- Knowledge and experience in traditional marketing, marketing degree is welcomed but not required with relevant work experience

- Creativity and documented experience in Social Media and ability to find news angles and build stories with high news value

- Ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side, able to demonstrate why your ideas are analytically sound

- In-depth knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, Instagram, etc.) and how each campaign can be deployed on different platforms

- Excellent writing and language skills

- Experience in managing media relations with a solid understanding of the media landscape

- Knowledge of the blogging ecosystem relevant to the brands field

- Good technical understanding and ability to pick up new tools quickly

- Basic knowledge of the principles of SEO including keyword research

- Great ability to identify potential negative or crisis situations and apply conflict resolution principles to minimize issues
