Software Architect – Propulsion Control 

The Propulsion System unit at CEVT is responsible for the development of transmissions and electric propulsion systems and the controls associated with these systems. The Propulsion Control Module Team is responsible for the development of the control systems for new global transmissions and hybrid systems from the early concept phase to industrialization. These transmissions and hybrid systems will be the main technology for the Geely group. Software development is carried out in-house and together with external contractors.

We are using agile development methods, and we are now hiring a person that will take on the role as Software Architect. 

Role Summary 

As software Architect – Propulsion Control you are responsible for evaluating, defining and refining the software architecture, supervising the development team, managing the full life cycle of the process, reviewing codes and overseeing all testing.  

Responsibilities and tasks

- Design of an integration platform capable of assembling both in-house and 3rd-party components into a complete ECU software.

Agile team participation and process improvement Evaluating architectural properties such as flexibility, maintainability and extensibility and tracking the project well to plans. Responsible to help the stakeholders define and refine the non-functional requirements as well as challenge them when appropriate

- Configuration of an AUTOSAR BSW
- Implement new functionality in C
- Create or modify test cases to ensure thorough software testing
- Conduct HIL and vehicle level software verification work
- Participate in the software change management process

Required Skills and Experience

- More than 3 years of experience working in the field of SW Architecture, SW Development and requirement handling
- Experienced with service-oriented and component based architecture
- Experienced with software product line architecture and variants management
- Have experience in reading and debugging C source code
- Good oral and written communication skills in English
- Ability to manage time and meet deliverable is critical
- Ability to work independently
- High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team

Preferred Skills and Experience

- Automotive experience is meritorious
- Experience in using software build tools such as Make
- Experience with MATLAB Simulink/Stateflow
- Experience with software configuration management processes
- Experience in the development of real time embedded control systems
- Hardware I/O level controller knowledge is a strong asset
- CAN and LIN communication protocol knowledge is a significant asset
- Continuous integration and delivery
- Autosar Layered Software Architecture

Education and Training

- Bachelor or Master Degree in Electrical or Software engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics or similar.
