Your future job

Get on-board and apply your engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Inger Bolin (Control Domain Leader) and work alongside passionate, motivated and dedicated teammates.

As a Software Development Engineer you will work with TCMS (Train Control and Monitor System) in :
legacy projects like Regina, OTU and C20.
ongoing midlife projects and upcoming ones as well


We’ll look to you for:

Software implementation – to transform specified designs into a well working physical realization.
Software design – to analyze and transform specified requirements into detailed design solutions into solutions that have the required safety level integrity level.
Software integration – Assemble software and/or hardware items through all levels up to form a complete subsystem (e.g. TCMS Platform Architecture or TCMS user application software), according to the architectural and design specifications. The Software Integrator delivers the final generic software system to ensure the finalization of the Project in time.
Software test - Carry out testing to ascertain its behavior and performance compared to the corresponding requirements specification. The tester ensures that the behavior and performance of the software corresponds with requirements of the design project.
Software infrastructure - Maintain the supporting software development environment (both hardware and software) and the Test Infrastructure Engineer maintains the supporting software development environment (both hardware and software).
Software verification - Examine and judge whether the output of a specific development phase fulfils respective requirements, mostly document reviews. The verifier ensures proper documentation during all project phases.


All about you

Bachelor and/or master’s degree preferable in computer science or corresponding technical experience
On the job experience in software development is required, ideally in IEC 61131. Experience working with MITRAC Tools is preferred.
Strong communication, initiative, and decision-making skills
Flexibility (since the position requires some domestic and international travels for train testing)
Fluency in English and Swedish
