Software Development Engineer
HemoCue develops, produces and markets medical diagnostic products that are fast and easy to use. For HemoCue we are looking for a Development Engineer to be responsible for investigation and reporting of post market surveillance feedback with focus on software issues. This position offers interaction with several internal and external points of contact and gives you the possibility to work with advanced problem solving. This position is part of the R&D department and your knowledge and experience is central for product development and continued improvements of existing products.

Your work assignments
As a Development Engineer (SW) your task is to investigate post market surveillance feedback thoroughly and to evaluate technical root causes of identified problems. Your work will include the entire process from identification of possible improvements and then to plan, design, verify and to document the changes. You will perform sustaining activities for current products, primarily for analyzers. You will also own, coordinate, perform and follow up relevant change orders related to improvements of existing products.



Your background

To be the systematic and analytical development engineer (SW) we are looking for, we believe that you should have at least 2 years of work experience with embedded software as well as experience of working in projects. You should have strong problem solving skills and an education in computer science or informatics. It is beneficial if you have worked with post market surveillance feedback and medical devices. You ideally have fundamental knowledge about ISO 13 485, QSReg and design controls.
