Software Engineer-Video Processing

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The applicant shall be responsible for the design and development of:
? Embedded software used for video compression, transmission, and image analysis
? Drivers and firmware for the control of cameras and other sensors
? Application Software used for Mapping, Augmented Reality, and User Interfaces
? Databases and algorithms utilized for GIS processing and analysis
? 3-D Rendering tools used for image analysis
? Customer Service Calls
? Trouble shooting at customer site
? 80% travel
? Building and testing products
? Working with solid works or equivalent
? Development of BOM and WI
? Fluent in English
? Extensive documentation in English
? Other duties as required
The applicant shall also be responsible for all software aspects of certification, including DO-178 documentation.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications:
The applicant shall possess, at minimum, a Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.

Experience:
The applicant shall have at least 15 years of experience in the software industry. A majority of the experience should be from the aviation and electro-optical industries. Prior experience shall include development according to the RTCA/DO-178 standard.

Skills:
The applicant must be well-versed in all of the following:
? Programming Languages: C, C++, SQL, QML, OpenGL
? Frameworks: Qt, libavcodec, Postgres + Postgis, OpenSceneGraph
? Architectures: ARM, Linux, Windows, PIC
? Standards: DO-178, MISB 0601
