Assignment description
Mavshack has been active since 2007 on the VOD markets in Europe and Asia. In 2011 we decided to focus on taking the Asian content to global markets. Firstly we launched a global website targeting Filipinos - mavshack.com - followed by a Facebook page offering free movies for fans. During 2013 we have opened mavshack.com for India. China and Indonesia. More markets are on the way.
Mavshack.com currently offers movies, concerts and music videos around the globe. Mavshack competes in an exceptionally fast-moving marketplace, where customer expectations are high. Our sustained success is therefore dependent on maintaining rigid, yet proactive, organization, capable of spotting and taking advantage of new market opportunities fast and in an effective way.

The company is currently in an expansive phase and are now looking to fill a position of Solution Architect / Senior Developer who can:
- Envision and realize our products.
- Take the architectural lead.
- Together with the team decide and implement appropriate development processes and work methods.

As a Solution Architect at Mavshack you will have a diverse role where you work closely together with the project team, and with business representatives from different countries.
Being a part of a small team in an entrepreneurial environment, it requires that you are a flexible and inventive person that can help out where help is needed. You must also have a good ability to co-operate and to communicate.

Duties and responsibilities
- Work as part of the team, be responsible for designing, developing, documenting and maintaining the Mavshack Media System, Frontends and integrations.
- Be a source of specialized knowledge, supporting other team members with instruction and guidance regarding best practices for using SQL Server UML class and state diagram modelling
- C# programming
- SQL database related tasks including Object to Relational definition within the ECO tool for Visual Studio (http://www.new.capableobjects.com/products/eco-model-driven-framework/)
- GUI (view model) design
- Workflow realization using UML state diagram and ?actions? within the ECO tool for Visual Studio

Additional tasks:
- Adding storage support to .Net (FTP, HTTP, Amazon S3, Akamai) o Improved logging
- Email and file sending

Specific qualifications
- Knowledge and experience from working with:
- ORM tools, for example Microsoft Entity Framework. EF isn?t used in the project, but experience with EF or other ORM tools are essential to understanding the software architecture and the systems ORM tool that we use ?ECO?.
- .Net
- C#
- MS SQL-server
- UML and Model Driven Architecture / Development
- Building WCF (Windows Communication Foundation) services
- Internet protocols such as: FTP, HTTP, HTTPS
Excellent knowledge of English
