Outsourcing Specialist, Scania IT

The group Vendor Management Office (VMO) within the Project and Vendor Management Office at Scania IT is now seeking for an Outsourcing Specialist. The group is working closely with Global Purchasing and is responsible for
-Vendor Management activities to adapt and establish way of working for Scania IT for purchasing of IT. This includes defining processes, methods, best practices, mentorship, project management, etc.
-Offshoring IT-activities to support offshoring initiatives to Larsen & Toubro Infotech in India. This includes being responsible for strategies, relationship, way of working, best practices, mentorship, project management.
-Volkswagen Regional Competency Center in India. This includes defining processes, methods, best practices, mentorship, project management, etc.
-Consultant Management activities support access to consultants.

Your duties
Understand and support the Scania IT sourcing strategy
Define and spread the use of processes, best practices, lessons learned, collaborative tools etc to facilitate sourcing at IT@Scania in its role as orderer and supplier/delivery governance in projects/maintenance.
Work cross-functionally within IT@Scania to drive, manage and support change management
Participate in projects and assignments as an IT outsourcing expert to ensure that VMO deliveries are implemented.
Cooperate closely with the Purchasing department
From an IT point of view support in discussing and creating a successful supplier ecosystem around IT Outsourcing
Develop and use metrics to ensure that the focus in the end is on Scania business benefit
Understand the suppliers IT delivery models and help the organization to select the right model to given requirements

Your profile
We are looking for someone who has a proven expertise in the IT outsourcing area, combined with broad general IT skills with a base in IT university education. It is also important that you have good knowledge in project management, both within software development and infrastructure. Flexibility, result oriented, ability to take on varied assignments (big and small) is important. That you understand and have worked within some kind of IT governance organization, preferably IT outsourcing is vital. You have the ability to move back and forth between operational perspective to strategic when needed. It is a plus if you have experience from working with different IT vendors.

In our cross-functionally based work, excellent communication skills are a must. Language requirements are fluent English and Swedish. You also have knowledge and experience from other methods, processes and metrics that can be used to gain efficiency from IT outsourcing. Capacity to work independently, proactively and with structure as well together with others is highly valued.
