Sourcing Value Engineer

Unit/Department Description:
Sourcing at Husqvarna is organized in separate sourcing organizations inside each of the four Brand divisions within Husqvarna group in purpose to secure quality, delivery, cost efficiency and sustainability of supply to Husqvarna group. A global forum are in place to catch synergies between the Brand divisions sourcing organisations in several functions.
The sourcing organization within the Husqvarna Brand division are orientated towards different categories, to mirror the organisation of the product category management. The sourcing category teams has full sourcing responsibility within the category. This position will be part of the sourcing wheeled category team.

Position/Job Description:
One focus area within the wheeled sourcing category will be to identify possibilities to optimize the cost/value adding on products in the existing product portfolio. Utilizing our companies common knowledge and our key suppliers knowledge to find activities that will optimize the value/cost of our products. Find relevant methods and forums/networks to utilize our improvement potential but also find structured ways and methods to drive an idea into a real improvement activity and finally to an implemented result.

Essential Duties:
. Initiate and moderate Value analyze workshops
. Define and implement practical Idea management process within the category
. Initiate idea generation activities from a value/cost optimization perspective
. Drive value/cost improvement projects into implementation

Preferred qualifications:
Education: Minimum requirement: Bachelor's degree in relevant Engineering engineer or other relevant discipline.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of work experience within the field or 5 years Industry experience. Experience from manufacturing, sourcing and/or R&D is of a clear advantage.

Languages: Fluency in English is required (written and oral)

Skills and Capabilities:
. Strong planning, organization, self-driven, change management, project management, creative, teamplayer
. Strong written and verbal communications skills
. Strong interpersonal skills (e.g., tact/diplomacy, listening, negotiation, consulting).
. Knowledge and experience with software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office) including presentation and database application
. Understanding the importance of customer service and internal stakeholder management
. Passionate about technology, improvement driven and result focused
