Sr SW Quality Enigneer

This position is organized in the Product Quality Assurance team within the group Quality and Product Management, 26361.

The main responsibility of the Quality Assurance team is to identify, address and eliminate sources of quality loss in Product Development.

We focus on:

· Secure that Product Quality is properly covered by the engineering project team

· Secure that product is developed and delivered with quality through processes, methods and tools application at every step of the product development

· Secure the Electrical and Electronics Engineering deliveries reach the Product Quality targets from a cross-functional perspective

· Features related to Quality and Uptime as Reliability, Durability, Maintainability and Quality Impression

As Senior SW Quality Assurance Engineer you will have a vital role in participating in a global and multi-cultural cross functional environment to secure product quality and safety in our projects. We also expect you to take an active part to improve our way of working and secure an improved quality mind-set in our organisation.

Mission:
Secure the product quality status in projects by driving that necessary quality enhancing activities are planned, executed, followed up, reported and that the outcome is managed.

Responsibilities:

· Propose a Product Quality Assurance Plan (including Quality Tool Plan?) to the Electrical Engineering (EE) Project and Line Manager

· Plan, follow up, and report status of the EE Product Quality Assurance Plan execution and highlight deviations to the PM and Quality Line Manager

· Identify and escalate quality issues to the Project Manager (PM) and Quality Line Manager

· Secure all required quality activities are done according to relevant instructions and findings are taken care of before releasing data

· Secure that potential failure is identified during proactive quality activities (e.g. Risk analysis, FMEA, Dependability analysis), addressed and solved in the early phases

· Secure that actual failure is detected during verification activities, addressed and solved in time

· Highlight process issues to the Process managers

· Improve our way of working and processes in our projects to secure an improved product quality

· Define long term Product Quality Assurance strategies for both SW & HW in projects

· Improve the quality mind set in the Electrical and Electronics (EE) organisation

· Educate people in quality methods and tools


Qualifications:

· MSc Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent

· Experience of working within product development in the areas of EE system, functional, HW and SW development

· Experience from working with Product Quality Management methods and tools for both SW and HW

· Minimum 3 years? experience from working with Product Quality Assurance methods and tools for both SW and HW

· Automotive industry knowledge is preferable

· Experience from project and people management in a global environment

· Good social, networking and communication skills
