We are looking for a strategic, technical skilled Regional Sales Manager for the Baltic states with responsibility to develop sales and growth plans towards our existing and new customers in defined geographical area in Baltics. As RSM you are playing an important role of developing and build Special Steels market and strategy. You train our customers with your technical competence and give support in order to build customer value and profitability. As RSM you will report to Area Sales Manager for Finland & Baltics. Location is Saue, Estonia, other locations also possible.
About the position
Division SSAB Special Steels is replacing a resigned sales manager in the Finland & Baltics sales team with a new member having strong curiosity, positive attitude and have a solution oriented mindset. In position you need strategic thinking, a structured way of working and technical experience to be part of our professional International team.
We have an extensive steel grade portfolio that can support a diverse customer base. As RSM you have the responsibility to develop sales of Special Steels together with our technical support function. The position drives the strategic development and expansion of the High Strength Steel customers in the region. It includes developing new customers, segments and applications as well as upgrade existing and new customers to more advanced materials.
To succeed in the role you will participate in marketing actions and visit workshops and end-users on a regular basis. You will analyze and develop the strategy to increase end-user reach. You are expected to document your key activities in our customer relationship management system/Salesforce. Usually you have several customer meetings per week and then do follow-up, reporting and planning. You will also independently set up sales representations, contracts, proposals and negotiate offer, prices and payments. It feels natural to work according to SSAB´s short and long term strategic goals.
Your qualifications

We look for you to have technical experience, strong drive to work in steel business and a genuine interest to learn more about steel making, properties and user benefits. As a person you are positive and solution oriented, driven, structured and have a strong interest in coaching and supporting customers to grow their business. You have University degree or equivalent in business administration, economics or engineering (i.e M.Sc. in Technology; Mechanical, Metallurgical or Mining Engineering) from any University in Europe and have working experience with international Scandinavian or European companies, preferably OEM’s and experience of value creation sales.
You are a social and trustworthy person who can easily build good relationships. You have the strategic ability to see the whole picture where you can clarify the business and the way forward and feel comfortable in delivering presentations to internal colleagues and external customers. You are confident in yourself and you share our values based on everyone´s equal value, diversity and differences to create a high-performing organization. Language skills in English and any of the Baltic languages are compulsory. Russian language knowledge is a plus.
Position consists of traveling, approximately 3 days per week.
