The Strategic Key Account Manager (SKAM) needs to have an intimate, sophisticated understanding of the account’s go-to market strategy, market position, requirements, finances, products, and organizational structure. SKAM use this knowledge to create business cases showing how price changes, customization, and add-ons will add value. SKAM is capable of planning short-term and long-term strategy, create use cases in different segments, carrying them out, analyzing the outcomes, and applying those takeaways to future strategies.

The Role
This is a global senior management role reporting to the OEM Director. The SKAM role is responsible for pro-actively managing existing relationships with Ascoms most important OEM accounts globally. SKAM is maintaining sales and profitability and ensuring a growth by having strategic account plans in alignment with regional initiatives. SKAM develops new business and revenue streams together with the assigned accounts and the Ascom Product Lines to increase volumes and revenue growth for both: Ascom and the OEM Account - and to expand and position the existing OEM portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
• Institute highly productive, as well as exceptionally professional relationships between the strategic account section and key personnel of the organization
• Appropriately coordinate company personnel involvement in strategic account management, especially in service and support resources, to ensure account performance objective of the company is met and to ensure complete customer satisfaction
• Fulfill any number of assigned targets to ensure volume of sales is at profitable level
• Ensure assigned accounts meet with company’s strategic objective
• Properly validate, clarify, and assess needs of customers on an ongoing basis
• Spearhead the effort of the company in solution development to ensure customers’ needs are properly addressed
• Achieve the expectations for complete profitability on the assigned accounts
• Ensure the customer holds the company in high esteem, which is depicted by high customer’s satisfaction ratings
• Coordinate executives of the company and their contributions to customer management
• Conclude with company objectives on assigned accounts within the time stipulated
• Coordinate, support and guide local account managers to ensure that sales and revenue targets are aligned
• Understand the business objectives of your assigned accounts, in order to execute on their strategy globally

Required Competencies and Qualifications
- 4-7 years’ experience as a Strategic account manager or Key account manager
- Solid sales experience in B2B environment and the ICT segment
- Hands on experience with Account management plans & programs
- Understanding of sales and price performance and profitability metrics
- An ability to address customer requests in a timely manner
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong client relationships
- Strong negotiation skills with a problem-solving attitude
- Consulting skills in the ICT market environment to pro-actively manage large accounts
- Ability support structured partnerships by providing conductive information and relevant data
- Travel 30%-50%
