What do we offer?

Now we are looking for a Strategic Material Developer who will be responsible for the Strategic Development of our Visible Plastics, Plastic grains, Chrome, and Colour Developments. For this role, we are looking for a senior co-worker with experience in material development.

What will you do?
As a Strategic Material Developer within Surface Materials, you will have the responsibility to look into sustainable and improving solutions for Plastic and Chrome. You will be working in our Material Portfolio to quality assurance your material so it will be ready to bring into a project. You will work with strategic development plans, commodity business plans, and task forces when needed. You will also be the one who is responsible to develop our interior and accent colors.

You will work closely together with the Component Owners in the ARTs, Design, Procurement, and our Material Suppliers.

Your main tasks will be:

Do you fit the profile?
To be successful in this role we believe you have a university degree, preferably in chemical engineering, design engineering, material science/engineering, materials technology, etc., and relevant work-life experience in the technical field for several years. In addition, since you will work in a global setting we expect you to be fluent in English.

Competence and experience are important, but personality is key!
As a member of our team, you have to be motivated and self-propelled with a high level of curiosity for new technologies within surface materials. A good color sight/vision is a must, to be able to work in our team you have to do and pass a color test. To be successful in this role, you also need a high level of communication and presentation skills, and inspiring people around you. For you, deadlines are actually deadlines and you take pride in delivering on time. Also, you have to be analytic and structured and have a good sense of both technical and strategic work.
