Strategic Sourcing Manager

You will be part of HVDC within the Power Systems division in Ludvika. The HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 50 years and is used to transmit power over long distances with minimal losses, using overhead lines, underground and submarine cable systems.

In other words, you will meet an eventful and challenging work in a division that is at the forefront of the industry.

Working with strategic sourcing implies that you will be active at all levels internally and establish many new contacts in Europe as well as Asia and the U.S.

You will among other things work:
. internally to identify customer requirements and demands from the engineering departments
. with ABB globally to coordinate sourcing strategies
. together with suppliers to find synergies and cost savings
. to build a strategy and supplier base within our area of expertise

With your technical understanding and skills in strategic sourcing, you can expect good development opportunities. You will get the tools you need to develop, whether you want to be stationed in Ludvika or over a period working outside Sweden.

Requirements
You have a university degree and are experienced in sourcing or sales. It is positive if you have a technical background or experience from project related industries.
With a large network of contacts both in Sweden and globally, you need to be a social and communicative networker who speak and write fluently in English and Swedish. Knowledge of additional languages is obviously a plus. You describe yourself as a resolute person who can make people listen to you and who is triggered by new challenges. In contractual situations, you are clear and formal towards customers. Since the role spans over several areas you need to be flexible and enjoy when no two days are ever the same.
