DeLaval's global Purchasing team consists of 40 sourcing professionals and support staff responsible for selecting and developing a supply base of over 1000 suppliers with an annual budget of EUR150m.As a result of restructuring, multiple vacancies for the following role profile have been created: Sourcing Specialist Areas of responsibility The candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of suppliers, and will play a key role in building a world-class purchasing organisation. The major objectives are: Development of a supply base to achieve quality, delivery, price, and innovation from suppliers; Choosing and 'on boarding' new suppliers Contract negotiation Risk management of the supply base Stakeholder management of global key players within the company as well as suppliers Project management of activities, resources and budget Management of 'routine' supply into DeLaval Skills and Experience Academic level degree or equivalent Experience within a purchasing function - an engineering background is desirable, but not essential Experience of driving change management Proven track record of delivering results against stretch targets Proven track record in project management Excellent English - spoken and written Additional desired requirements International experience, such as managing units in several countries Additional language skills Personal characteristics Strong leadership skills with a natural sense of authority combined with a humble personality A hands-on and operative leader Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Must be able to communicate and gain trust in different countries/cultures Business oriented and committed to the task Energetic, ambitious and very result oriented Ability to prioritise Location: Tumba, Sweden.
