Student for translator assignment

OM TJÄNSTEN
Academic Work is looking for a translator to our customer in Linköping. The costumer is a company within the public sector who now needs help to translate abstracts, publications and information on their new website. The company needs help from time to time during the year when they have something that needs to be translated. This is a part-time job and estimated start is as soon as possible. For this job it is possible to work from a distance as long as you keep your deadlines.

For this assignement you will work as a consultant, which means that you will be employed by Academic Work but work as a consultant at our costumer.

ARBETSUPPGIFTER
As a translator you will be working with translations of different reaserch publications and abstracts within the road- and water segement. You will also translate different kind of information from swedish to english on the company website.

For example, you will:


* Translate publications, articles and abstracts from swedish to english
* Translate information on the company website from swedish to english


VI SÖKER DIG SOM
For this job it is required that you speak english as mothertounge or have very good understanding for the english language for other reasons. Perhaps you have lived or studied in an english-speking country. You also need to speek and read swedish fluently since the publications you will translate are in swedish.

We are looking for you who currently is a student in a Master of Science in Engineering with orientation towards road, water, ground or environment.

It would be considered an additional qualification if you have an intrest for geotechnical engineering and/or experience of working in the public sector in Sweden.

As a person, you have a developed language and communicate well in text. You are gonna work with this on your own and therefore it is very important that you are independent and plan your own time well. Of course you will have the possibility to ask co-workers if you need any help or support.

START: as soon as possible

WORKING HOURS: You are gonna work with deadlines in this job and you work whenever it suits you as long as you deliver the work within time for the deadlines.

LOCATION: The office is in Linköping and you are welcome to sit there but for this job you can work from home and you don’t have to come in to the office at all if not wanted.
