The Road Planning EMEA team at Volvo Cars plan and schedule transports within EMEA to both production sites and consolidation centers as well as return flows of emballage to suppliers. They also create slot plans for terminals and plants to ensure on time arrival of material.

What you will do
Your key responsibility is to make sure that order data is correct, both what is provided to us as well as what we send out to our freight forwarders and warehouse. Responsible to make service to resolve customer questions and problems by identifying root causes and offering solutions. Collaborating with other departments internally and externally to manage and administrate orders. Recommend most efficient means of transportation needs. Create accurate records for all arrivals.

Do you fit the profile?
We believe you have a strong knowledge and experience in MS Excel and understand operational planning and resource allocation. You have strong communication skills as this role interacts with a variety of stakeholders, both internally and externally. You enjoy working in collaboration with different partners internally and outside the company. A Global environment gives you additional drive and energizes you!

You have proven ability to be accurate and detail oriented. You have proven ability and have your strength in prioritization, and have also a proven ability to work creatively and analytically with a problem-solving approach.
We also believe that you can think outside the box and are eager to see the broader picture in all you do.

Qualifications
We think you have a B.Sc. degree within Supply chain/Logistics or equivalent relevant working experience and fluency in English both spoken and written. If you have an operational background and/or experience in logistic processes and transportations that knowledge is highly beneficial.

Duration: All summer worker positions will take place during the period June-August 2020 for a total work period of up to 10 weeks depending on the position, Note that some departments might be closed for a period during week 29-32.
